2024 Range Rover Evoque debuts with minor styling and tech upgrades

KUALA LUMPUR: The all-new 2024 Range Rover Evoque has received a series of upgrades in the global market, making it more appealing than the model it replaces. The upgrades include some minor styling tweaks, new tech features and improved mild and plug-in hybrid powertrains.

Let’s know these improvements in detail -

• The new Range Rover Evoque benefits from a new signature grille mated to an even sleeker pair of pixel LED headlights 
• The new headlights have an innovative design with four-pixel modules containing 67 precisely controlled LEDs, which altogether offer Dynamic Bend Lighting and Adaptive Driving Beam functionality

• The SUV also gains redesigned wheels that go up to 21 inches in size
• Also new for the exterior is an updated colour palette with Tribeca Blue, Corinthian Bronze, and Arroios Grey as newly added options

• Getting inside, here the most important change can be seen in the form of a new single 11.4-inch infotainment system that replaces the earlier split screen setup. According to the automaker, the new system can let the users do almost 80% of the tasks with just two taps of the home screen 
• The latest infotainment unit is powered by the latest generation Pivi Pro 2 software and supports wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto
• The updated central console now offers a bigger stowage space with wireless charging as a standard fitment

• Also part of the upgraded equipment kit are a new cabin air filtration system, connected car technology, over-the-air updates support, and a 3D 360-degree camera 
• The SUV comes in different powertrain options, including D165 mild hybrid, D200 Mild Hybrid, P200 Mild Hybrid, P250 Mild Hybrid, and P300e Plug-in Hybrid. As the names suggest, the entire ​​range is now paired to a 48-V mild-hybrid system, with the plug-in hybrid unit getting updates for more efficiency

• The PHEV houses a 14.9kWh battery pack paired with a 1.5-litre petrol unit, combinedly making 313 PS of maximum power and 540 Nm of peak torque. It also offers a pure-electric driving range of up to 62 km
• All the powertrains come paired to an all-wheel-drive system 

Pricing for the all-new Land Rover Range Rover Evoque in the Europe market begins at 49,800 euros (approximately equal to RM 254,588).
