When will the 2024 Mercedes-Benz E-Class debut?
The world premiere of the all-new Mercedes-Benz E-Class is set to be held on April 25, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. (CEST).What powertrains will be offered with the next-gen E-Class?
The next-gen E-Class is expected to be offered with mild-hybrid versions of petrol and diesel engines along with plug-in hybrid choices in the global markets.Just like we have seen in the earlier teasers, the new E-Class wears an attractive teal colour and houses black grille surrounds and sleek black trim pieces. The latter indicates the inclusion of the Night Package. The headlights and tail lights of the next-gen sedan seem to be an evolution of the ones found on the predecessor and are influenced by the S-Class.
Also part of the new teaser is large black multi-spoke wheels that look sleek and modern, adding to the overall aesthetic of the vehicle. Mercedes-Benz is likely to offer the new E-Class in standard as well as long wheelbase options, just like the outgoing model.
Back in February, the brand revealed the car's interior, which represents a significant departure from the previous iteration. The latest design focuses on offering an "immersive entertainment experience" with music, games, and streaming content. It features a new Superscreen, which looks very similar to the Hyperscreen available on the pure-electric EQS, and a digital driver’s display housed in a separate housing.
In terms of mechanical setup, no details are yet available. However, we can expect mild-hybrid versions of petrol and diesel engines along with plug-in hybrid systems in the global markets. The sedan will have “consistent electrification” systems facilitating “locally emission-free driving” throughout the lineup, said the automaker in a previous report.
The next-generation E-Class is expected to hit showrooms in Europe and other regions around the world later this year and its arrival in Malaysia can be expected next year.
