2024 G60 BMW 520i M Sport CKD launched in Malaysia - From RM350k, 19" wheels, M Shadowline trim, 2.0T 48V mhybrid with 208hp/330Nm

KUALA LUMPUR:  BMW Malaysia has added a new variant to its popular 5 Series lineup, the BMW 520i M Sport, further enhancing the range of locally assembled models in the country. This new addition, comes just a few months after the debut of the regular BMW 520i at the Malaysia Autoshow in May.

The New BMW 520i M Sport is priced at RM349,800.00 on the road, without insurance. If you choose to add the BMW Service & Repair Inclusive package, which includes a 5-year extended warranty and service package, the total price increases by RM26,900.00, bringing the total to RM376,700.00.

The BMW 520i M Sport continues the legacy of adding a sportier flair to 5 Series while . The M Sport package, enhances both the exterior and interior with sporty design elements, including adaptive LED headlights, 19-inch M light alloy wheels, and M high gloss shadowline trim.

Inside, the 520i M Sport features an M anthracite headliner, M accents in dark chrome, and a 3-spoke leather steering wheel with M Sport design. The interior is further complemented by the BMW Curved Display, which includes a 12.3-inch instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch touchscreen, along with the BMW Interaction Bar and ambient lighting for a personalized atmosphere. Entertainment is handled by a Harman Kardon HiFi system, ensuring high-quality audio on the road.

Under the hood, the BMW 520i M Sport is similar to the 520i, powered by a four-cylinder B48 engine, paired with a 48V mild hybrid system. This setup delivers 208 hp and 330 Nm of torque, enabling the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 230 km/h.

For safety and convenience, the 520i M Sport comes equipped with the Driving Assistant Plus package, which includes features such as Active Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Steering and Lane Control Assistant, and Lane Departure Warning. Additionally, the Parking Assistant Plus is standard, providing ease of maneuvering in tight spaces.

Connectivity is also a focus, with the car featuring BMW Live Cockpit Professional, Connected Drive Services, and smartphone integration via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A wireless charging tray ensures devices remain powered on the go.

The BMW 520i M Sport is available in several exterior colours, including Black Sapphire Metallic, Mineral White Metallic, Oxide Grey Metallic, and Cape York Green Metallic. Customers can choose between Veganza Perforated and Quilted upholstery options in either Black or Espresso Brown.

For financing, BMW Group Malaysia offers the Easy Drive Financing Plan, which allows you to own the car with monthly installments starting from RM4,013.00 based on an 80% loan for a 5-year tenure with a 20,000 km annual mileage cap. Alternatively, the Straight-Line Financing Plan offers monthly payments starting from RM4,074.00, based on an 80% loan over a 7-year tenure. Terms and conditions apply.

Benjamin Nagel, the Managing Director of BMW Group Malaysia, emphasized the importance of the 5 Series in BMW's global lineup, noting its strong presence in the mid-sized premium business sedan segment. He highlighted that the 5 Series continues to be a significant model for BMW, with every fifth BMW sold globally being a 5 Series.

With the introduction of the 520i M Sport, BMW Malaysia continues to cater to the evolving preferences of its customers, offering a blend of luxury, performance, and sporty design in its latest 5 Series variant.
