2023 Mazda 6 gets new features and a special 20th Anniversary Edition in Malaysia
KUALA LUMPUR: Alongside rolling out the new Mazda 3, Bermaz Motor has also introduced the updated version of the Mazda 6 in Malaysia. The all-new Mazda 6 is up for grabs in three forms - 2.0L Sedan, 2.5L Touring, and a new 2.5L 20th Anniversary Edition. The latter commemorates two decades of the Mazda 6 nameplate, which was first introduced in 2002.

Included in the price are a five-year/100,000 km manufacturer’s warranty and a five-year/100,000 km maintenance package, comprising labour fees, parts, and lubricants costs.
In terms of equipment, the new Mazda 6 comes with new features, including an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment display, wireless Apple CarPlay connectivity, four USB ports, and a wireless charging system. The 2.5L trims are also fitted with an 11-speaker Bose audio system, a 360-degree surround view camera, and new i-Activsense safety features, comprising Mazda Radar Cruise Control with Stop & Go and Cruising & Traffic Support and Front & Rear Smart Brake Support.
Design-wise, the all-new Mazda 6 20th Anniversary Edition sets itself apart with unique exterior and interior styling. The key exterior highlights are a gunmetal finish on the front grille, a 20th Anniversary badge positioned on the front fender, and 19-inch alloy wheels in Bright Metallic Alloy. It also comes sprayed with an exclusive Artisan Red Premium shade, which is the brand’s fourth special colour, created through its unique Takuminuri painting technology.
Inside the special edition Mazda 6, we get 20th Anniversary badging on the front seat headrests, tan leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, a self-dimming frameless rear-view mirror, a 7.0-inch multi-info instrument cluster, LED interior lighting, and a rear window sunshade.
The engine options remain the same as earlier. The 2.0L Sedan is powered by a 2.0-litre SkyActiv-G inline-four engine generating 162 hp of maximum power at 6,000 rpm and 213 Nm of peak torque at 4,000 rpm.
The 2.5L Touring and 2.5L 20th Anniversary Edition models are equipped with a 2.5-litre naturally-aspirated SkyActiv-G inline-four engine, which is good for making 192 hp at 6,000 rpm and 258 Nm at 4,000 rpm. Both engines come mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
Bermaz Motor offers the new Mazda 6 in two new exciting tones - Platinum Quartz and Rhodium White Premium. The continuing options are Jet Black, Arctic White, Deep Crystal Blue, Machine Gray, Soul Red Crystal, Sonic Silver, and Polymetal Gray.
