2023 Honda City facelift coming to Malaysia?

KUALA LUMPUR: Is the 2023 City on its way to Malaysia? That’s a question many are asking and hoping the answer to be yes. And why not, the City has ruled hearts for years, and with every new version, the sedan has only got better and better.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • What will power the new 2023 City?

The new City will however continue to draw power from the tried and tested naturally-aspirated 1.5-litre four-cylinder mill generating 121 PS and 145 Nm of torque.
  • What to expect from the new City facelift?

The all-new City facelift will feature a refreshed rear end along with a few advanced features.
  • It was only recently that Honda launched the all-new 2023 City in India and since then we are eyeing the car to come to us. And guess what, it all seems to be coming true. As the 2023 City was spied on the Malaysian road this past weekend.

Also, the City facelift is one among the four new models Honda Malaysia announced to launch this year. We have covered a detailed article on the same that you can check here.

So, what revisions can be expected from the City facelift?

Though we are short on images, the car sighted resembled the one recently launched in India. Also, the camouflaged rear end indicates a refreshed look.

Taking more clues from the India-spec model, the sedan is expected to come equipped with Low-speed Follow which will complement the Adaptive Cruise Control.

The new City will however continue to draw power from the tried and tested naturally-aspirated 1.5-litre four-cylinder mill generating 121 PS and 145 Nm of torque. The hybrid trim will feature the 1.5-litre petrol-electric e:HEV hybrid unit.

Currently, the Malaysia-spec City is offered in five variant options (S, E, V, V Sensing, and e:HEV). Will there be any change in the lineup still to be seen with the arrival of the facelifted model?

Once launched, the 2023 City will give tough competition to the likes of Toyota Vios and Nissan Almera.
