2022 Proton Saga Standard Lite AT launched in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia’s best-selling A-segment sedan, the Proton Saga, received an upgrade back in May this year. Although changes were minor yet significant keeping it competitive against its chief rival, the Perodua Bezza. Well, the sedan is once again making headlines in the local automotive arena, this time it welcomes a new variant.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • How much does the new Proton Saga Standard Lite AT cost?

The Proton Saga Standard Lite AT is priced at RM 38, 300 (on-the-road without insurance).
  • What makes the Standard Lite AT different from the regular Standard AT trim?

The Saga Standard Lite AT misses out on a few safety systems like hill hold assist, ESC, and traction control. The rest of the equipment is completely identical.
  • That’s right, the automaker has expanded the Saga lineup by adding one new trim, which goes with the name ‘Standard Lite AT.’ It is slotted between the base-spec Standard MT and Standard AT and priced at RM 500 less than the latter. Here’s the complete variant-wise Saga price list -

While the Standard Lite is a bit cheaper than the Standard, Proton undercuts a few features to save the cost.
