2021 Hyundai Elantra N Line version coming soon
KUALA LUMPUR: Hyundai introduced the 2020 Elantra online a few months back, and now we hear that the engineers are working on a sportier version of the compact sedan.
The South Korean brand recently announced that Elantra’s sportier N Line model is currently in the works. And this would be the first time the sedan will be made available in the N Line trim. The automaker claims that the car will have ‘refined powertrain/chassis upgrades’. As for now, Hyundai has not revealed any specifications of the upgrades the car would receive. However, similar to the other N Line variants on offer in the company’s lineup, we expect the Elantra N Line to feature a sportier exterior and interior design.
No official images of the Elantra N Line are released yet. Instead, all we have are the official teaser photos of the car covered in camouflage. It’s quite difficult to distinguish between the N Line variant and the standard model displayed during the launch event. The standard Elantra showcases an aggressive look, and we are guessing that the N Line variant to sport a revised front and rear bumper coupled with unique styled wheels. Hyundai might also add a ducktail spoiler for a more sporty appearance.
Making things clear, this one won’t be a high-performance version of the Elantra like the Veloster N and i30 N. However, Hyundai did tell that the Elantra N Line version will carry a more powerful turbo powertrain offering enhanced performance to match the upgraded chassis. We are guessing the Elantra N turbo to display similar performance as the Kia Forte GT turbo.
Details about Hyundai Elantra N Line reveal or sales is yet to be announced, so stay tuned.
