2021 Audi Q5: All you need to know

It was in April 2021 that the all-new Audi Q5 featured on the automaker Malaysian website and now finally after four months it has arrived. The car definitely looks pleasing and has a lot to offer on the comfort and convenience front. Let’s now get started with what the new 2021 Audi Q5 has to offer to the Malaysian audience.

2021 Audi Q5: Variant & Price

The Malaysian-spec Audi Q5 is offered in only one single sportier variant option, the S line. It is priced at RM 37,996, it includes SST exemption until the end of this year. Compared to the ongoing Q5, the new facelifted model is RM 37k dearer and it comes as a completely built unit from Mexico.

2021 Audi Q5: Engine & Performance

The sportier Q5 S line trim is powered by a 2.0-litre TFSI four-cylinder engine. It is the same mill that also powers the A5 Sportback facelift model. This mild-hybrid unit churns out a maximum power of 249 hp at 5,000-6,000 rpm along with a peak torque of 370 Nm at 1,600-4,500 rpm. The power is sent to the wheels via a 7-speed S Tronic dual-clutch gearbox and Quattro AWD.

On the performance front, the facelift Q5 completes the century sprint in 6.1 seconds, after attaining a top speed of 240 kmph.

The 12-volt MHEV system comprises a belt-driven starter-generator which is linked to a lithium-ion battery. It recuperates energy when braking and coasting and makes the engine start/stop function smooth, all this at a speed below 22 kmph.

The automaker says that the Audi Q5 facelift would offer a fuel consumption of 12.5 kmph.

Available as standard is Audi drive select with adaptive dampers, however, customers can upgrade to the adaptive air suspension for RM 10,269.
