2018 Infiniti QX80 revealed
KUALA LUMPUR: The flagship sedan of Infiniti has recently received its major update for the 2018 model year. Yes, the 2018 Infiniti QX80 has been finally revealed with slightly tweaked exterior and refined cabin. Since its rebadging in 2013, this is the major updated which the QX80 has received. Starting from the front, it has a refreshed styling with headlights being positioned a little higher over the outgoing model, resulting in a bolder face.
Even the apron is redesigned that now features larger air intake for better cooling. If you will focus on the nose, you will be able to identify that the nose is scaled down a bit to give the overall profile a sleek touch. To complement the front fascia, the side fenders are remolded while the wheels size range between 20- and 22-inch. The rear changes are very limited and restricted to just taillights and bumper.
In the cabin, no major changes are evident and most of the elements are borrowed from the outgoing model. But, a new stitch pattern on the doors, seats and new color choices are offered. For the rear passengers, larger screens for their entertainment have been installed. The seating configuration has been kept intact and the 2018 QX80 still has a capacity of accommodating 7 occupants easily.
Under the hood, there is a 5.6-litre V8 engine that has the potential of pumping out a maximum power of 400 PS and peak torque of 560 Nm. This is the same engine which is also used to power the Nissan Patrol Royale. The engine is further mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission. The 2018 Infiniti QX80 will be available in standard two-wheel drive or INFINITI All-Mode 4WD options.
The updated model of the flagship SUV will hit the dealerships by early 2018, starting with the US market.
