KUALA LUMPUR: Honda has finally yanked the silks off the all-new eleventh-generation Honda Accord in the global market. Honda will offer the new Accord with two engine options - 1.5-litre turbo petrol and a hybrid setup combining a 2.0-litre petrol engine and a dual-motor.Said to be the best-looking Honda Accord ever, the latest Japanese sedan underpins the brand’s latest design philosophy. It carries a mature stance with clear and smooth surfaces. The front fascia is kitted with a new hexagonal-shaped grille with triangular inserts, edged by slim headlights and eyebrow-like LED daytime running light graphics. The front bumper houses a wide, central air intake bracketed by silver trims on both sides.
A strong beltline and chrome trimmings around the windows further accentuate the sedan’s profile along with two-piece, full-width tail lights. The car runs on 17-inch dual-tone wheels as standard, with 19-inch units available as an option.
Dimensionally, the new Accord is 4,971 mm long, 1,862 mm wide, and 1,450 mm tall and carries a 2,830 mm long wheelbase. Compared to the predecessor, it is 91 mm longer and 2 mm wider.
Just like the exterior, the cabin of the new Honda Accord also looks premium with a well-laid-out cabin loaded with high-quality materials and advanced technologies. Among the main interior features of the revamped sedan are -
