The sleek and advanced Hyundai Ioniq 6 EV has recently landed on Malaysian shores. It is Hyundai’s third EV model in the local market after the Kona Electric and Ioniq 5. The EV is offered in two variants here - Max RWD and Max AWD, priced at RM 289,888 and RM 319,888, respectively.

    The Hyundai Ioniq 6 has a streamlined shape that not only contributes to its stunning appearance but also ensures exceptional efficiency on the road. It is touted as one of the most aerodynamic production cars in the world with a very low drag coefficient of 0.21 Cd.

    The EV features over 700 Parametric Pixels lights that can be found in the LED headlamps, rear combination lamps, front lower sensors, digital side mirrors, and air vent garnishes.

    The headlights also feature Matrix beam LED technology. LED daytime running lights, and the Intelligent Front-lighting System. The latter automatically adapts to road situations, optimising the use of high beams while ensuring there's no glare to other drivers.

    The Ioniq 6 has a distinctive low-profile tail with wrap-around LED lights, a transparent HMSL (High-Mounted Stop Lamp), and a wing-inspired rear spoiler.

    Adding to the sleek yet functional aesthetics of the EV are the automatic flush door handles, which are seamlessly integrated into the design. The layout of these handles also elevates the aerodynamic efficiency of the electric sedan.

    The automaker has also positioned the new Hyundai Emblem on the Ioniq 6 for the very first time, which symbolises the beginning of the new era.

    The Malaysia-spec Ioniq 6 is offered in two different wheel designs - 18-inch ‘Aero’ alloy wheels for the base-spec RWD and bigger 20-inch ‘Performance’ alloys for the top-spec AWD. The wheels are aero-optimised and beautifully harmonises with the sleek profile of the EV.

    Time to get it! According to Hyundai, the electric sedan has “a cocoon-like cabin that lets passengers freely enjoy in-car life.” The control unit is placed at the centre so that it's easy to reach and use, offering straightforward and intuitive driving. 

    The buttons from the front doors were also moved to the bridge-type centre console to provide more room and storage. Due to this, the doors not only became slimmer but also offer more space for knees, ensuring increased comfort while driving.

    Based on Hyundai’s E-GMP (Electric-Global Modular Platform), the Ioniq 6 has a flat floor structure that allows you to “s-t-r-e-t-c-h” your legs for real. 

    The interior also houses interactive Pixel Lights on the 4-dot Interactive Pixel on the steering wheel and LED lights on the crash pad.

    The car also comes with dual-colour ambient mood lights, that are installed in the upper and lower door trims. One can select from 64 colours or six dual colour themes according to the mood. The dual colour themes are -

    The lighting synchronises with speed; the brightness of front cabin lighting increases from 10% to 100% when speed rises from 30 kmph to 100 kmph.

    On the modular dashboard of the EV lies two 12.3-inch displays, one for the digital cluster and the other for the′ infotainment touchscreen. The displays are integrated into a single screen for a wider view with convenient access to all required information. 

    Offering an immersive and high-quality audio experience is a Premium Bose Sound System.

    The fully reclining Relaxation Comfort front seats of the EV can be reclined at the push of a single button to offer occupants a refreshing break while the EV gets charged.

    The EV also comes equipped with a dual-zone automatic air conditioning system, providing comfortable and effortless climate control to passengers. 

    Also part of the kit is a wireless charging pad that offers quick charging on the go, ensuring your devices stay powered up effortlessly.

    The large sunroof of the EV can be easily opened at the push of a button to get a refreshing breeze and a panoramic view of the world around you.

    The innovative V2L feature allows one to plug in electrical devices and appliances into the power outlet from inside or outside of the EV. The general electric power (230V/120V) is available inside and outside, and one can use 3.6kVA for 230V power devices and 1.9kVA for 120V power devices.

    Along with advanced creature comforts, the Hyundai electric sedan also comes equipped with several advanced driver-assistance systems, including Smart Cruise Control with Stop&Go function, Lane Keep Assist, Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist, Manual Speed Limit Assist, and Remote Smart Parking Assist.
