The above table reveals the two Vios variants have identical lengths, widths, heights, wheelbases, and boot capacities. However, we can see a difference in terms of the turning radius. The Vios G has a slightly larger turning radius, compared to the Vios E, which means that the latter may be slightly more manoeuvrable in tight spaces.

    Engine

Both variants of the new Toyota sedan are powered by the latest 2NR-VE Dual VVT-i 4-cylinder 16-valve DOHC engine. Compared to the older powertrain, the latest unit offers an improved performance with maximum output rated at 106 PS at 6,000 rpm and peak torque of 138 Nm at 4,200 rpm.

The power is sent to the wheels via a brand new 7-speed continuously variable transmission that comes mated to the Sequential Shiftmatic system. The latter features a manual mode for the driver to select the virtual gears using a shift lever or paddle shifters, which exclusively comes with the Vios G.

The sedan also comes with three drive modes (NORMAL, ECO, and SPORT) as standard. These different drive modes can be easily selected by the driver to match their driving conditions or personal preferences.

The 2023 Toyota Vios offers the best-in-class fuel efficiency rated at 5.2 litres per 100 km (19.2 kmpl), which means you can enjoy longer drives without worrying about frequent refuelling stops.
