Aveta RX110

For a basic, entry-level 100-110cc moped, the Aveta RX110 looks nice and not so basic as the most affordable two-wheeler from Aveta, the DY90. This slim-looking moped has a sense of athleticism in its design, if not much, which makes it an eye-pleasing design to look at. However, it is not an attention-grabber too.

At the front, the Aveta RX110 has a compact-looking cowl, which has a rakish design while flowing from the handlebar cowl to the front fender. This cowl is bulged from the middle and has a few graphics to ensure that it doesn’t look as boring as other basic entry-level mopeds. This rakish front cowl of the Aveta RX110 also houses sleek-looking turn indicators on its sides, which flow towards the upper corners of the cowl. The tall stance of the Aveta RX110 at the front is further complemented by the large and sleek-looking fender over the front wheel. The handlebar cowl of the Aveta RX110 gets only a halogen headlamp, which is fairly large.

Moving towards the side profile of the Aveta RX110, this moped comes with an underbone body, which though looks nice with the edgy-looking panels on the sides of the central tunnel. These side panels, which are essentially part of the front apron, come adorned with body decals. The central tunnel flows towards the rear and merges with the sharply rising side panels of the Aveta RX110. These side panels, which flow upward towards the tail section of the Aveta RX110, also come adorned with graphics and give the moped an image of a slim-looking two-wheeler. The Aveta RX110 also comes with a nicely cushioned long single-piece seat.

At the back, the Aveta RX110 comes adorned with a pointy-looking tail lamp cluster, which comes with clear lens turn indicators flanking the halogen tail lamp in the middle. Below this sharp-looking tail lamp assembly, the Aveta RX110 gets a long rear fender. The moped also comes with a basic-looking all-analogue instrument console, which features a speedometer, odometer and fuel gauge.

The Aveta RX110 comes with an underbone chassis well complemented by telescopic hydraulic forks at the front and dual-sided hydraulic coil springs at the rear. Considering the overall kerb weight of just 95 kgs, the Aveta RX110 is a nice and light-weighted moped to manoeuvre in tight city traffic conditions. The manoeuvre comes with 17-inch black alloy wheels as standard, which are wrapped with 70/90-17 tyre at the front and 80/90-17 tyre at the rear, while having drum brakes at both ends.

The Aveta RX110 gets its power from a four-stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled, 110cc engine, which is coupled to a functional 4-speed manual gearbox. This entry-level, single-cylinder engine in this moped produces a maximum power output of 6.8 bhp and a peak torque output of 7.2 Nm. While this 110cc engine is bigger than the 90cc engine of the DY90 positioned below it, the power output of the former is lower. For its kerb weight of 95 kg, the Aveta RX110 is decently powerful for the general commutes it is meant to accomplish.

Since the manoeuvre is designed and engineered to a cost, the Aveta RX110 doesn’t get any of the premium safety features of the modern-era premium two-wheeler.

From the heart and overall mechanicals, the Aveta RX110 is a basic, entry-level moped, designed for functional purposes and basic commutes. However, the slightly modern design is meant to please those younger buyers who want a frugal and easy-to-ride affordable two-wheeler with a slight sense of style.
