GWM Tank 300

The cabin of the GWM Tank 300 features an all-black theme with leather upholstery, which also gets a contrast textured finish over the dashboard and contrast silver accents at some places over the dashboard and door panels. 

The Nappa leather-wrapped, four-spoke multi-functional steering wheel of the GWM Tank 300 gets a wide full-TFT cockpit behind it, which houses 12.3-inch screens for the instrument console and a touchscreen infotainment system. Besides this full-TFT cockpit, the propeller-themed rounded AC vents on the corners of the dashboard and the centre console make this cabin look heavily inspired by the Mercedes-Benz G-Class.

The lower half of the centre console has switches for the dual-zone automatic climate control and the 9-speaker Infinity sound system. There is also a horizontal panel for the transmission lever and other control switches at the bottom of the centre console, which is finished in a theme of silver. The cabin of the Tank 300 looks more premium with LED ambient lighting, a wireless charger, paddle shifters, a cooled glove box, a sunroof, and a 220V power outlet.

With a traditional upright stance and squared-off design with retro elements, the GWM Tank 300 looks like a lifestyle off-roader SUV. The front profile of the Tank 300 looks purposeful with the hump in the middle of the bonnet and a wide rectangular fascia, which has rounded edges and gloss black surrounds for the grille.

With horizontal gloss black slats and a unique logo for the Tank 300 in the middle, this grille has rounded headlamps with dual LED projectors and LED DRLs on the corners, which are also a part of the wide fascia. The blacked-out rugged-looking front bumper of the Tank 300 has rounded fog lamps placed within rounded rectangular housings.

Moving sideways, the GWM Tank 300 has flared wheel arches with tough-looking cladding over tough-looking tyres wrapped over 17-inch black alloy wheels. At the back, the Tank 300 has a large tailgate-mounted spare wheel with a dedicated gloss black semi-cover. The SUV has vertically aligned tail lamps with LED inserts on the sides.

Offered with a four-wheel drive system as standard, the GWM Tank 300 outshines many compact and midsize SUVs priced similarly to it with its off-roading abilities. This Chinese SUV comes with rugged hardware, comprising an all-terrain mode selector, crawl control, turn assist, and 17-inch all-terrain tyres. 

The GWM Tank 300 also claims a ground clearance of 224mm, a water-wading capacity of 700mm, an approach angle of 33 degree,s and a departure angle of 34 degrees. The double wishbone setup at the front and a non-independent multi-link setup at the rear for the suspension setup also deliver a decently comfortable ride quality, while impressing with stability over rough terrains. 

The GWM Tank 300 has a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, which is paired with a four-wheel drive setup and an 8-speed automatic transmission. With a maximum power output of 220 PS and a maximum torque output of 380 Nm, the GWM Tank 300 claims a top speed of 170 kmph. 

The GWM Tank 300 has safety features including six airbags, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors and camera, traffic sign recognition, adaptive cruise control with intelligent cruise assist, automatic emergency braking, lane centre keeping assist, lane keeping assist, and traffic jam assist.

The GWM Tank 300 exceeds expectations with its abilities while driving it over off-road terrains, where the capable and rugged hardware performs brilliantly. The traditional upright stance with boxy and retro design further adds more excitement to the Tank 300.
