Triumph Malaysia adds two new bikes in its stable

KUALA LUMPUR: The 2019 Triumph Bonneville T120 Ace and Bonneville T120 Diamond Edition are now a part of Triumph Malaysia lineup. Both the ‘modern classic’ motorcycles come loaded with modern amenities and impressive retro styling. While the Bonneville T120 Ace holds a price tag of RM 75,900, the Diamond Edition will set you back by RM 74,900. Note, the prices mentioned above exclude registration, road tax, and insurance.

Both the bikes have their own set of inspiration and pay tribute for the past legends. In the case of 2019 Bonneville T120 Ace, it is the Ace Cafe in London, the legendary UK bikers gathering spot. As for the Diamond Edition, it celebrates the 60th Anniversary of the Bonneville engine that was first showcased to the public in 1959.

Bonneville T120 Diamond Edition

The production for the 2019 Triumph Bonneville T120 Ace is limited to 1,400 units with each buyer receiving a numbered certificate signed from modern Ace Cafe founder, Mark Wilsmore and Triumph chief executive officer Nick Bloor. As for the Bonneville T120 Diamond Edition, only 900 units will be produced, and it will get a unique Silver Union Jack and Snowdonia White paint scheme on the tank.

The two-limited edition bikes will be powered by a 1,200 High Torque Bonneville parallel-twin mill that is said to churn out a maximum power of 79 hp at 6,550 rpm along with a peak torque of 105 Nm at 3,100 rpm. However, there is one significant difference between the mills of these bikes, and that’s their color. While the T120 Ace gets all-back components, the mill on the Diamond Edition gets chrome trim all-around.

The Bonneville T120 Diamond Edition further showcases bright chrome work on the engine covers and guard, tank badges, and chain guard. The Ace model, on the other hand, gets a Matte Storm Grey paint scheme, a “Head Down, Hold On” logo on the tank, black bench seat, and minimalist rear fender.
