What are the key features of Moto Morini Calibro?
The 2025 Moto Morini Calibro 700 made its international debut at the Esposizione Internazionale Ciclo Motociclo e Accessori (EICMA). It’s a perfect companion for cruisers who want a long-distance, highway-munching bike in an approachable and sensible package. The Moto Morini isn’t a new brand. The company began operations in 1937. It now operates under the Chinese-owned, Taiwan-based Zhongneng Vehicle Group and is trying to strengthen its footprint in global markets. The 2025 Moto Morini Calibro 700 is an urban cruiser with modern styling. Instead of relying on the company’s heritage position, the 2025 Moto Morini Calibro 700 sports the same neo-retro styling seen on bikes like the Honda Rebel and Kawasaki Vulcan S. It’s a successful styling that retains a cruise bike’s natural authenticity and at the same time adds a modern flavour. The Calibro 700 is a handsome motorcycle that grabs attention, courtesy of its styling.
The motorcycle gets a projector headlight. The bike comes with all-around LED lighting. The headlight is bejeweled into a sporty fairing, topped by a curvy fender, fork gaiters, and a short-height windscreen. The rear-end gets a minimalist taillight with sharp plastics that create a sleek look.

The 2025 Moto Morini Calibro 700 gets a 15-litre fuel tank that’s pretty much the industry average The information cluster is a combination of digital and analogue elements. The speedometer is digital but the display area is small. Even smaller is the gear-positon readout. The full-colour display is a bit difficult to read under broad daylight, but is spectacular after dark. The 2025 Moto Morini Calibro’s switchgear is simple and organic. The 2025 Moto Morini Calibro is 2,200 mm long and 860 mm wide. The foot pegs are forward set and the seating position is natural and straight. This is the ideal seating position on a cruise bike. The buckhorn-bend handlebar of the Moto Morini Calibro 700 is easily reachable and the rider won’t have to be in a jack-knife position. There’s a lot of legroom. But it never compromises on the style. The 705mm seat height is welcome for riders of all heights. The two-piece seat is wide and offers superb back support

Moto Morini Calibro Review 2025
Abhishek Katariya says
One of Moto Morini's latest global launches, the Calibro, is a middleweight bagger inspired by the full-size baggers and cruisers from American giants like Harley-Davidson and Indian Motorcycles. Based on a new platform, the Moto Morini Calibro was launched in 2024, with the Malaysian-spec version of the bagger available in a single colour option: black. The Moto Morini Calibro is priced at RM 35,888.
Moto Morini Calibro Design
Like the full-sized traditional American cruisers and baggers, the Moto Morini Calibro has an authoritative road presence with plenty of visual bulk in its stance and design. The traditional bagger elements make the Calibro one of the largest-sized middleweight motorcycles one can buy.
The Moto Morini Calibro welcomes one with its massive batwing windscreen, which has a curvy look on the sides and accommodates a rounded LED projector headlamp in the centre of the bottom half. This rounded headlamp comes integrated with LED DRL around it, while also has rounded LED turn indicators attached to its sides.
The Moto Morini Calibro's black-themed inline-twin engine, which also gets satin silver elements and clamps on the sides, has a massive, vertically aligned radiator ahead of it. This bagger's large and bulky-looking fuel tank has wide knee recesses, which are comfortable for both short and tall riders.
The black theme of the engine of the Moto Morini Calibro extends to its 2-into-1 short exhaust pipe, multi-spoke alloy wheels and the huge pannier mounted on the rear sides of the motorcycle. Towards the rear, the Calibro has a split seat arrangement, with the bagger's rear fender having a pillion seat mounted above it. The rearmost tip of the rear fender has a slim and horizontally-placed LED tail lamp with rounded LED turn indicators placed to its sides.
The Moto Morini Calibro has a rounded part-digital instrument console placed behind the massive windscreen. This display unit has an analogue tachometer and an asymmetric LCD screen for readouts of speedometer, fuel gauge, odometer and trip meters. The additional features like a USB charging port and a small storage space behind the front windscreen further add more practicality and utility to the motorcycle for long rides.
Calibro Ride & Handling
Based around a steel tube cradle frame, the Moto Morini Calibro has a 41mm conventional fork at the front and dual coil springs with stamped and welded steel plate swingarm at the rear. Like in other cruisers, the suspension setup of the Calibro is also tuned with a soft setup, which translates into well-settled ride quality across all speeds.
With 18-inch front and 16-inch rear alloy wheels, the Moto Morini Calibro rides on a 130/70-18 tyre at the front and a 180/65-16 tyre at the rear. The single 320mm disc at the front and a single 255mm disc at the rear take care of all the braking duties.
Moto Morini Calibro Engine & Fuel Consumption
Unlike the other 650cc offerings from Moto Morini, the Calibro is based around an all-new platform with a larger-sized engine. The Moto Morini Calibro sources its power from a four-stroke, inline-twin, liquid-cooled, 693cc engine, which is capable of producing a maximum power output of 73.7 bhp and a maximum torque output of 68 Nm. Paired with a 6-speed transmission, this inline-twin engine feels refined with ample torque at lower RPMs, but the same isn’t felt much at higher RPMs.
Calibro Braking & Safety
For a middleweight bagger/cruiser, the Moto Morini Calibro has decent safety features, including a dual-channel ABS, LED DRL at the front and a side-stand engine kill switch. The large and curved windscreen at the front is very effective in restricting wind blasts at higher speeds, while the lockable luggage bags mounted on the sides offer ample protection while touring.
Moto Morini Calibro Verdict
For a middleweight cruiser, the Moto Morini Calibro has a tremendous road presence, which makes it one of the motorcycles with the heftiest visual bulk. While the overall performance and power delivery are different from the traditional cruisers, the Calibro, just like the majority of cruisers, delivers a well-cushioned ride quality, making it a terrific companion for long highway drives.
