Suzuki Malaysia announces prices for 2021 Hayabusa and V-Strom 1050 XT
KUALA LUMPUR: Suzuki Malaysia welcomes two new bikes in its lineup, the 2021 Hayabusa and V-Strom 1050 XT. The former is priced at RM 111,200 and the latter is available for RM 81,900.
Let us now check out the two Suzuki Malaysia inclusions in detail, starting with 2021 Hayabusa. Officially unveiled earlier this year through Suzuki Motorcycle Global Salon, the motorcycle entered our market last month.
Currently, in the third-generation, the motorcycle has undergone a major makeover for 2021 in the form of a sleek and sharp exterior, a new engine, and lots of electrical aids.
Powering the new Hayabusa is a Euro 5 compliant 1,340 cc inline-four engine making a maximum power of 187 hp at 9,700 rpm along with a peak torque of 150 Nm at 7,000 rpm. The power is sent to the wheels via a 6-speed gearbox. Even with lower power output, the new mill generates better power delivery at low & mid-rpm.
Speaking of the new power plant, it gets a revised can profile, redesigned crankcase, and redesigned combustion chamber. Together it helps improve durability and oil lubrication.
Other major updates include - Suzuki Ram Air Direct, and a new exhaust system, ride-by-wire. Taking care of its suspension needs are fully adjustable KYB units. Braking, on the other hand, is looked after by the top-notch Brembo Stylema callipers with 320 mm front and 310 mm rear discs.
As for the electrical aid, the Suzuki Intelligent Ride Suite is managed by a 6-axis IMU that includes - speed limiter, wheelie control, hill hold control, launch control, rear-wheel lift control, engine brake control, and three power maps.
Making the ride more fun is an up/down quickshifter and cruise control.
As for the 2021 Suzuki V-Strom 1050 XT, it is powered by a 1037 cc 90-degree V-Twin mill that makes a maximum power of 105 hp along with a peak torque of 100 Nm at 6,000 rpm.
The bike features 3-level traction control, load-dependent control, 3-selectable engine map, lean-angle sensitive ABS, cruise control, and hill hold.
Like the 2021 Hayabusa, the new V-Strom is also equipped with the Suzuki Intelligent Ride System that improves practicality and comfort.
The 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa and V-Strom 1050 XT are available at all the company's authorised dealerships across the country.
