New Triumph Tiger 1200 coming soon to Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: It was last year in December that Triumph launched the all-new 2022 Tiger 1200, making a mark in the adventure-touring segment. Back then the company didn’t reveal any information regarding the motorcycle’s Malaysian launch. However, now things are getting a bit clear as Triumph Malaysia has confirmed the new Tiger 1200’s arrival, i.e., sometime in Q2 2022.

In Malaysia, Triumph’s official distributor Fast Bile Sdn Bhd has a history of rolling out the latest models into the country within a short time frame of their global launch. And it is continuing the tradition with the launch of the Tiger 1200.

With a few months in hand before the arrival of the 2022 Tiger 1200, interested customers can start saving for the big purchase.

What does the new Tiger 1200 have to offer?

• The new Tiger 1200’s construction is focused on building a light and powerful ADV motorcycle
• It offers class-leading handling and specs on/off-road
• It is powered by an all-new T-Plane crank engine that also powers the Tiger 900 range. The 1160 cc mill makes a maximum power output of 147 hp at 9000 rpm along with a peak torque of 130 Nm at 7,000 rpm

• Triumph is offering the new Tiger 1200 in two variants - GT and Rally editions. A new Explorer version is also available that offers a 30L fuel tank, additional electronics, and higher-spec kit
• The GT & Rally variants are available in two trim options. The 1200 GT and GT Pro feature 19-inch front and 18-inch rear cast aluminum wheel and a semi-active Showa suspension, the 1200 Rally and Rally Pro come equipped with 21-inch front and 18-inch rear tubeless rims

• The new Explorer variant, on the other hand, gets an innovative blind spot detection system like the one available on KTM 1290x Super Adventure S and Ducati Multistrada V4
