KTM 390 Adventure updated for 2023

KUALA LUMPUR: Yes, you read it right. It has been only a few months since KTM globally introduced the all-new 390 Adventure and now we are already hearing about updates.

The entry-level adventure bike, KTM 390 Adventure, is now equipped with wire-spoked wheels as standard. The spoke sits within black-anodized aluminum rims with 19- and 17-inch wheels, front, and rear. The new inclusion enhances the motorcycle’s aesthetic and adds to its off-road durability.

Also, India has become the first country in Asia to take advantage of the new inclusions.

KTM 390 Adventure: Key details

Engine

Powering the new 390 Adventure is the Bajaj-built 373 cc single-cylinder DOHC engine making a maximum power of 44 hp along with a peak torque of 37 Nm. Part of the kit also is two catalytic converters.

Mechanical Features

The KTM packs several impressive ride-enhancing bits including -

• Steel trellis frame
• Ride-by-wire throttle
• Traction control
• Cornering ABS
• An ‘Off-Road’ riding mode (for more rear wheel slip and reduced ABS intervention)

Braking and handling

Taking care of the suspension duty is a WP Apex suspension which allows for an adjustable rebound, compression, and preload.

Helping the bike stop are Brembo's ByBre radial calipers with 320mm disc at the front and 230mm disc at the rear.

Colour

The 2023 edition also gets a new colour scheme which is inspired by the manufacturer’s racing background.
