Ducati Multistrada V4

The Multistrada V4 features a unique design inspired by the principles of additive technology. At the front, the new full-LED headlamp with a cornering light system reinforces the typical Ducati style, while the seats are designed around the rider to instil the feeling of greater control and riding pleasure. Equipped with a new generation double-sided swingarm and a new two elements rear frame, the Multistrada V4 improves robustness and makes room for under-seat storage. In terms of electronics, the LCD instrument display, which, in conjunction with the optional Ducati Connect System, allows for connection to the rider's smartphone and display of navigation map inside the screen. The phone and music functions are controlled via a joystick on the left handlebar pod, with the phone itself stored in a compartment in the fuel tank that has a USB charging port. The seat is placed at 840 mm above the ground, giving better control to the rider. There are no choices in terms of the colour schemes since the Multistrada V4 is currently only offered in one paint scheme - Ducati Red with black wheels. 

Special consideration has been given to the aerodynamics of the Multistrada V4 so that the new design offers increased stability and ensures thermal and aerodynamic comfort in all riding conditions. The MotoGP-derived monocoque frame significantly reduces weight and adds high rigidity and stability at high speeds. The front tyre size is 120/70 ZR17, and the rear tyre size is 190/55 ZR17, which ensures a round, precise and intuitive ride in sporting and touring use and greater control on unpaved roads. Suspension setup includes Marzocchi full-adjustable 50 mm diameter front forks and rear monoshock, giving 170 mm and 180 mm of suspension travel at the front and rear.

The centrepiece of the Multistrada V4 series is the liquid-cooled, 1198cc, four cylinders, Granturismo power plant that generates 170 hp max power at 10,500 rpm and creates 125 Nm peak torque at 8,750 rpm. This power is transmitted to the wheels through a six-speed transmission gearbox. The engine is tuned to ensure smooth delivery at low revs, excellent torque at mid-range and a sporty spirit at high speeds. Since it is a touring engine planned to cover long distances, the V4 Granturismo only requires oil changes every 15,000 km and offers an industry's first significant maintenance interval of 60,000 km.

Brembo M4.32 four-piston radial-mount callipers are used to stop the Multistrada V4. A range of safety features is offered as standard on the Multistrada V4, comprising four different riding modes, power modes, ABS cornering, Ducati Traction Control, Ducati Wheelie Control, Daytime Running Lights, and Ducati Brake Light.
