Honda Europe unveiled two updated scooters - 2022 C125 Super Cub & Monkey 125

Honda Europe has unveiled the all-new 2022 C125 Super Cub and Monkey 125. The two bikes have been updated to meet the latest EURO 5 emission regulations and also benefit from several new exterior bits, an upgraded chassis, and an enhanced powertrain.

Let’s discuss each one-by-one, starting with the 2022 Honda C125 Super Cub -

Design

The new C125 Super Cub features a striking eye-catching appearance that is further enhanced by the new Mat Axis Grey Metallic colour scheme which goes very well with the bike's red seats. Yes, that’s right seats - it has dedicated seats for the rider and passenger. It also gets rear footpegs and reworked rear suspension to accommodate the extra passenger.

Engine

The new C125 Super Cub benefits from a new engine, its biggest update. It is powered by a 125 cc single-cylinder air-cooled unit that churns out a maximum power of 9.2 hp along with a peak torque of 11 Nm. Furthermore, the mill features an updated intake and exhaust system, not to forget the new ECU mapping that ensures its EURO 5 compliant status. Its fuel economy is rated at 66.7 kmpl.

Coming to the 2022 Honda Monkey 125, it too features unique styling and an efficient engine.

Design

Buyers can enjoy the new Honda Monkey 125 in the newly-introduced Pearl Glittering Blue tone that in a way enhances its ‘fun’ factor. Further elevating the rider’s experience are the new two-stage dual rear shocks that call for better ride comfort, especially on rough roads.

Engine

The new Monkey is powered by a new 125 cc SOHC single-cylinder air-cooled mill that pumps out a maximum power of 9.2 hp along with a peak torque of 11 Nm. Its fuel economy is rated at 17.85 kmpl. The power is sent to the wheels via the new and large 5-speed manual transmission.
