Four Zontes motorcycles to launch in Malaysia on February 27

KUALA LUMPUR:  Zontes  Malaysia, the company's new distributor has confirmed to launch four new motorcycles. The launch event is scheduled to take place on February 27th in Subang, Selangor. Earlier in January, it was rumoured that the Chinese manufacturer could expand its market in Malaysia apart from countries like the UK, South Africa, and Pakistan.

The four models, which will be launched at the event are ZT310-R, ZT310-T, ZT310-X GP, and ZT310-X. All four motorcycles will be based on the same platform. They will come with LED lightings, and the models with windscreen will feature electrically adjustable function.

Speaking about the oily-bits, the bikes are equipped with a 312 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC, fuel-injected engine that can produce a maximum power of 35 bhp at 9,500 RPM. The peak torque of the bikes sticks at 30 Nm that comes at 7,500 RPM.

The bikes get upside-down forks at the front and monoshock for the suspension at the rear. Furthermore, each of the four models has a Bosch ABS taking care of the stopping duties efficiently.

The Zontes ZT310-T has a large windscreen and high handlebar and will be added to the adventurer tourer segment. The two-wheeler comes with crash protection bars up front and a large luggage rack at the rear.

The Zontes ZT310-R will be a naked sports bike. It shares its styling cues with the Suzuki GSX-S750/GSX-S1000 and Kawasaki Z900. The design at the rear is kept minimal.

The third in the row is the Zontes ZT310-X, which is a fully-faired sport-tourer. The motorcycle has a high handlebar and an electrically-adjustable windscreen.

The detailed information about the last one, the Zontes ZT310-X GP is yet to be revealed. It is expected to appear as the sportier variant of the Zontes ZT310-X.
