KUALA LUMPUR: The highly-anticipated 2023 BMW S 1000 RR has finally made it to the Malaysian motorcycle market and the enthusiasts can not be more excited.

The price difference between the two variants is accounted for via carbon-fibre wheels and lightweight M package inclusions like racing footrests and lithium battery. The range-topping trim also features an 'M’ seat with the BMW Motorsports logo.
Design
The new BMW S 1000 RR undoubtedly looks stunning and gets M 1000 RR-inspired winglets at the front. According to the manufacturer, the new winglets add 10kg of downforce at high speed and puts the motorcycle on par with other units in the segment.
Chassis
In addition to styling updates, the new BMW S 1000 RR benefits from a revised chassis. While the bike retains the same old frame, the motorcycle is claimed to be more flexible thanks to the revised die-cast alloy frame with more holes.
Also, the steering head angle now sits at 23.6 degrees (+0.5 degrees) and the wheelbase now reads 57.4 inches (+0.7 inches).
Powertrain
Powering the all-new BMW S 1000 RR is a revised 999cc ShiftCam 4-cylinder unit generating a maximum power of 207 hp at 13,750 rpm along with a peak torque of 112 Nm at 11,000 rpm.
Convenience features
The 2023 BMW S 1000 RR includes several convenience features which add to the motorcycle specs kit. The specs sheet now includes - USB ports, heated handlebar grips, cruise control, an updated Shift Assistant Pro quick-shifter, and much more.
The bike also gets the Dynamic Package as standard which includes functions like - Dynamic Damping Control, Riding Mode Pro, Dynamic Brake Control, and HSC Pro.
Taking care of riding convenience are four ride modes (Rain, Race, Road, and Dynamic) along with M GPS Laptrigger, BMW Motorrad Race ABS, Shift Assist Pro quick-shifter, and Hill Start Control (HSC).
