2024 Yamaha 135LC Fi gets new colours in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: The popular Yamaha 135LC Fi has received a significant colour upgrade in Malaysia. The moped is now available in three new hues - Cyan, White, and Navy. Also joining the standard 135LC Fi is the new 135LC SE version, which is sprayed with a striking Blue colour.

The new Yamaha 135LC Fi price tag reads RM 8,298 (excluding road tax, insurance, and registration), whereas the new Yamaha 135LC SE retails for RM 8,798. With each purchase comes a complimentary disc lock worth RM 100. Along with that, the 135LC SE customers also get a sports visor and Yamaha Premium storage basket. The latter is a 2-in-1 basket specially designed for extra storage. It comes with a closed USB charging socket compartment for the protection of mobile devices during use.

Apart from gaining new colours, the Yamaha 135LC continues to feature the same design and equipment. The moped comes with a V-shaped LED headlamp unit paired with pilot lights, an aggressive-looking handlebar cowl, a compact front fairing, a digital speedometer, a 4.6-litre fuel tank, and a vertical LED tail lamp. It rides on 17-inch wheels shod with 70/90-17 front and 80/90-17 rear tyres.

At the core of the 2024 Yamaha 135LC Fi lies the same tried and tested 135-cc, Euro 4 compliant auto clutch fuel injection engine, which delivers a maximum power of 12.5 hp at 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 12.2 Nm at 6,000 rpm. The power is sent to the ground via a four-speed gearbox mated to a chain final drive system.

As for the suspension, the affordable two-wheeler houses non-adjustable telescopic forks at the front and a preload-adjustable mono shock unit at the back. The braking duties are managed by hydraulic discs at both ends. 

The 2024 Yamaha 135LC Fi and 2024 Yamaha 135LC SE are now available at all Yamaha authorised dealerships across the country.
