KUALA LUMPUR: The official distributor of Aprilia bikes in Malaysia, Didi Group, has launched the all-new RS 457 in the country. The latest sports bike targets the new-gen riders with its muscular and aggressive appearance and advanced features.

Design and features
Based on a twin-spar aluminium frame and a steel swingarm, the Aprilia RS 457 is ergonomically designed with clip-on handlebars and an 800 mm low, narrow seat height.
The bike features double-wall fairings, a sleek triple LED headlight, and MotoGP-inspired aerodynamics for a race-ready look. It runs on 17-inch wheels wrapped with 110/70 front and 150/60 rear tyres.
The new Aprilia motorcycle comes equipped with the following advanced bits -

Engine
The sports bike is powered by a 457cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin cylinder engine that generates a maximum power of 48 PS at 9,400 rpm and a peak torque of 43.5 Nm at 6,700 rpm. Power is sent to the ground via a 6-speed gearbox with a quick shifter. With a kerb weight of just 175 kg, the RS 457 is touted as the best-in-class in terms of power-to-weight ratio.
Suspension & braking
The front suspension setup comprises a 41 mm upside-down fork with 120 mm of wheel travel, while the rear features a mono-shock with 130 mm of wheel travel. As for braking, it gets a 320 mm front disc paired with a 4-piston radial calliper and a 220 mm rear disc setup. As mentioned, these are complemented by a Bosch dual-channel ABS.
