2019 Moto Guzzi V85 TT launched in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Moto Guzzi Malaysia launched its new adventure touring motorcycle, the 2019 V85 TT at the Rimba Valley Motor Camo, Janda Baik. The said motorbike is offered in two variants - base model for RM 87,888 and range-topping Evocative Graphics at RM 89,888.

However, it is to be noted that during the ongoing launch period, a few limited units are offered by the company at an introductory price of RM 79,888. The prices mentioned are exclusive of insurance, registration, and road tax.

Moto Guzzi has taken a new turn with the introduction of the 2019 V85 TT, as the company has created an all-new unit using the traditional transverse V-twin for adventures touring duties. Powering the motorcycle is an 853cc mill that produces 80 hp of power at 7,750 rpm along with a peak torque of 80 Nm at 5,000 rpm.

The Guzzi’s new adventurer touring is able to achieve these performance numbers thanks to the use of a 30% lighter crankshaft, titanium intake valves, and dual oil pumps that give the two-wheeler a much flatter torque curve. The fuel tank comes with 23-litre capacity that the company says is good enough for a 400 km journey. The wet weight of the bike is 229 kg, while the seat height rests at 830 mm.

Providing rider with all the necessary information is the full-color TFT-LCD. Further, easing the travel for the rider are the three ride modes on offer - Road, Off-Road, and Rain. The off-road mode calls for greater engine braking accessibility and switches off the ABS at the rear wheel.

Buyers can pick the Moto Guzzi V85 TT in five color options - Rosso Kalahari with red frame and Michelin Anakee rubber, Grigio Atacama (urban), Giallo Sahara (evocative), Blu Atlante with Metzeler Tourance tyres, and Rosso Vulcano with Metzeler Tourance tyres.
