2019 Modenas Pulsar NS160 launched in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Syarikat Motosikal dan Enjin Nasional Sdn. Bhd or Modenas has launched the 2019 Pulsar NS160 naked sports in Malaysia. It is expected that the new bike will arrive at the authorised Modenas Malaysia dealership in the first week of October.

Design-wise, the all-new Modenas Pulsar NS160 comes with standard halogen units for lighting and filament bulbs are used for the turn signals. The two-wheeler comes with two colour scheme options, white and blue.

The bike comes with a seat height of 805 mm, and its weight is 142 Kg. It carries a fuel tank of 12-litres. In the cockpit, there is an analogue tachometer present on the instrument cluster. It uses different monochrome LCD readout that provides information such as speed, distance covered, etc.

The 2019 Modenas Pulsar NS160 specs sheet is equipped with a 160 cc air-cooled SOHC twin-spark single-cylinder mill engine that can make a maximum power of 15.2 hp along with a peak torque of 14.6 Nm. The maximum power and peak torque come at rev-range of 8,500 rpm and 6,500 rpm. The engine is fed by the Bosch EFI and is mated to a five-speed gearbox assisted by a final chain drive.

Speaking of the brakes, the 2019 Modenas Pulsar NS160 gets a 300 mm single hydraulic disc at the front, while a 230 mm single hydraulic disc stops the rear wheel. The wheels are covered with MRF tyres. At the front, there is a conventional telescopic fork suspension along with Nitrox preload-adjustable mono-shock unit.

2019 Modenas Pulsar NS160 price is RM 7,577, which does not include the road tax, insurance, and registration costs.
