2019 EICMA: 2020 Aprilia RS660 sports and Tuono 660 Concept debuts
KUALA LUMPUR: Tuono 660 Concept naked sports and 2020 Aprilia RS660 middleweight sports bikes debuted at the ongoing 2019 EICMA in Milan, Italy. This pair of amazing bikes have managed to register themselves in the list of new and updated bikes that were revealed at the show. Sleek LED headlights, DRLs, and many other extravagant features have paved the paths for both the bikes to enter the middleweight road bike arena.
The new Aprilia RS660 is committed to produce a maximum power of 100 hp, carries a parallel twin mill displacing 660 cc. Along with that, the bike gets a comprehensive IMU, which is a six-axis inertial measurement unit and a part of the latest generation ARPC package.
It also gets a twin-spar aluminium frame, which is suspended on a 41 mm USD fork from Kayaba along with directly mounted monoshock. The handlebars can rise gently rather than being aggressively angled, just like a genuine clip on. These features provided the bike with a relaxed possession that could be found in a supersport bike like RSV4.
During the launch, the company claimed that the RS660 possesses a dry weight of 169 kg. It is brought into a halt by radially mounted Brembo M4.32 callipers biting on 320 mm twin discs at the front. Aprilia has tried its best to ensure the utmost comfort without compromising on the performance.
On the other hand, Tuono 660 Concept possesses the same gear and engine as RS660. It gets a frame-mounted headlamp and wide handlebar to give comfortable ergonomics. However, the frame, color of the asymmetric wheels, design of the tail section, and many things are common between 2020 RS 660 and Tuono 660.
