Torsten Muller-Otvos, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars CEO said, “It is our honour to present Jack Boyd Smith Jr with his latest Rolls-Royce Phantom. This Bespoke creation joins a collection of truly notable and historic motor cars.”
He further added that “The Koa Phantom demonstrates the extraordinary skill of the Rolls-Royce Bespoke Collective – a precious and rare example of a naturally sourced material, Koa Wood, is masterfully incorporated into Phantom’s contemporary interior. It took more than three years for this commission to come to life and we are delighted that it will take an important place in The JBS Collection of Jack Boyd Smith Jr,”
What's the highlighting feature of this Jack Smith exclusive RR Phantom?
Well, this particular Bespoke Phantom Extended model uses an unusually rare and protected species of Koa wood found only in the Hawaii region. Thus, making it the first Phantom to feature this ultra-exclusive material.
From where RR sourced the rare Koa wood?
RR wood specialist got the rare wood log from a supplier. It is its highly unique velvety character that makes it so special and is said to be found 'in a million chance'.
Where in the bespoke Phantom, the rare Koa wood can be found/seen?
The designer has used it through the Phantom cabin - dashboard, door handles, rear seat trays, front & rear centre console, and seat inserts.
The bespoke Phantom also comes with a hand-crafted Koa wood picnic hamper that took 500 hours to complete. It includes a 12-piece stainless steel cutlery set and saddle leather.
