Range Rover Velar gets R-Dynamic Black Limited Edition in UK

KUALA LUMPUR: Range Rover has introduced the Velar R-Dynamic Black in the UK and limited it to only 500 units. The model is based on the market’s most famous D180 R-Dynamic SE, which comes equipped with a 2.0 litres turbodiesel four-cylinder engine, which is capable of putting out 180 hp of maximum power and 430 Nm of peak torque.

The Black Edition Velar now comes with the black exterior package, fixed panoramic glass roof, privacy glass, metallic paint, Adaptive Dynamics and privacy glass as standard. The buyer gets to choose from two innovative exterior metallic paintwork – Santorini Black and Eiger Grey. However, this time, the carmaker has not offered any sort of chrome treatment on the outside, which makes it stand out from the crowd.

Getting inside the car, the spacious cabin flaunts the Ebony Morzine Headlining that partners with the Ebony Perforated Grained Leather. Rawdon Glover, Jaguar Land Rover UK’s managing director, said in a statement “The Range Rover Velar R-Dynamic Black builds on Velar’s sophisticated design package, enhancing it for a customer who is looking for an element of differentiation. We look forward to delivering the first limited editions in early 2020.”

Another standard feature which is offered exclusively in the 500 units of the Velar R-Dynamic Black is Adaptive Dynamics. It is an optional system that helps in continuously changing the damper settings, and it executes with the help of steering movements and monitoring body up to 500 times a second.

Moving to the pricing, the limited edition SUV comes with a price tag of 56,995 euros (RM262k) in the UK. The enthusiasts and interested buyers are allowed to place the order immediately, and the deliveries have been scheduled for early 2020 by the carmaker.
