Range Rover updated for 2023; gets new electric powertrain and infotainment system

KUALA LUMPUR: Land Rover has given its popular player, the Range Rover a refreshed look for 2023. Part of the car's revised specs sheet is a new fully-electric powertrain line-up along with new infotainment and mechanical features.

2023 Range Rover - New inclusions

Engine

The new Range Rover line-up is now offered in four powertrain options - two plug-in hybrids and two mild hybrids.

The former involves two 3.0-litre inline-six plug-in hybrid powertrains with a powerful 160 kW e-motor, leading to higher power output. The latter gets a 4.4-litre V8 engine which now makes 615 hp and 750 Nm of torque (for the SV variant).

Infotainment system

Part of the upgrade is a 13.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with the latest Pivi-Pro software. As per the automaker, now nearly 80% of the tasks can be performed within just two taps.

Mechanical bits

The car’s adaptive cruise control system now gets a new Country Road Assist feature that using navigation data automatically adjusts the car’s target speed while taking into account the road bends and changing speed limit.

Also available is the new adaptive off-road cruise control system with four comfort settings.
