Price confirmed for all-new 2024 BMW X5 in Malaysia
KUALA LUMPUR: BMW Malaysia previewed the all-new X5 facelift earlier this month and now it has announced the pricing of the upgraded SUV. The 2024 BMW X5 is offered in a single locally-assembled trim, the xDrive50e M Sport, priced at RM 528,100 (including a 5-year extended warranty and service package).

The 2024 BMW X5 is offered in a single locally-assembled variant, the xDrive50e M Sport, priced at RM 528,100.So, what’s all new with the X5 facelift, let’s know in detail.
Starting with the mechanicals, the new X5 comes with an updated petrol-electric plug-in hybrid drivetrain. It comprises a 3.0-litre turbocharged inline-six petrol engine, which kicks out a maximum power of 313 PS and a peak torque of 450 Nm, and an electric motor good for making 197 PS and 280 Nm. Combinedly, the setup generates 489 PS and 700 Nm, which is 95 PS and 100 Nm more than the outgoing model.
The power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed Steptronic Sport automatic gearbox, allowing the car to run from the standstill to 100 kmph in 4.8 seconds and clock at a top speed of 250 kmph. Also part of the kit is a 25.7-kWh battery, which provides an all-electric range of 110 km. With the help of a 7.4 kW AC outlet, the battery can be charged in 4.5 hours.
Coming to aesthetics, the German SUV boasts an updated exterior design with a new kidney grille housing the BMW Iconic Glow LED lighting system. There are thinner LED headlights paired with arrow-shaped daytime running lights. Also new is a redesigned air intake, a new front bumper, new tail lights featuring a new double L-shaped signature, and 21-inch M V-spoke style light-alloy wheels.
The interior is also revamped with a contemporary dashboard accommodating the new BMW Curved Display. The latter comprises a 12.3-inch digital display cluster and a 14.9-inch infotainment display powered by the BMW Operating System 8.5. Also, there is a newly-designed gear selector ambient Light Bar, Merino leather upholstery (Black/Tartufo), 415-watt Harman Kardon Surround sound system, a Parking Assistant Professional, and a Driving Assistant Professional package.
