Peugeot 5008 Plus - Variant comparison

Peugeot 5008 is one of the best options available in the 7-seater SUV segment in Malaysia. Considering its growing popularity, Peugeot launched the updated 5008 Plus earlier this year which will be locally assembled along with its sibling, the 3008 Plus. The new 2019 Peugeot 5008 Plus isn’t entirely a brand-new car. It comes with some added features that help it to stand out from its predecessor. It is available in two variants - Active and Allure - that have a price difference of RM 13,000. As we mentioned before, the new 5008 Plus isn’t entirely a new car. It is more of a facelift and that’s why it looks very similar to its predecessor. However, some of its premium features are limited to the more expensive Allure variant. Following are those features-

• Front and rear parking sensor
• Side mirror adaptation in reverse gear
• Motorized smart hands-free tailgate

Even if you exclude these features, we’d say that the 5008 Plus still looks pretty fantastic.

What are the common exterior features between the two variants?

Ans. The new iteration gets various bits of chrome on the outside, like on the side mirrors, door handles, at the bottom of the window frame, and faux exhaust tips. Apart from that following are the features that you will find common in both the variants-

2019 Peugeot 5008 Plus specs sheet lists the same engine that powered the previous model. In fact, it is the only engine option here, which means, both the Peugeot 5008 Plus Active and Allure variants are powered by this engine only.
