Next-gen Toyota Innova to make debut in India on November 25

KUALA LUMPUR: Toyota Indonesia has been teasing the all-new third-gen Innova for a while and is set to pull its wraps off on November 21, 2022. Well, the latest buzz around the upcoming version of the popular MPV is that after making its debut in Indonesia, it will hit the Indian market on November 25. 

Toyota India has recently dropped the first teaser of the next-gen Innova, which will be sold as the ‘Innova Hycross’ in the country. This is contrary to the fact that it will be called the ‘Innova Zenix’ in Indonesia.

Here’s everything that we know about the upcoming Toyota Innova -

• Instead of a body-on-frame platform, the refreshed MPV will be based on a monocoque chassis called the Toyota New Global Architecture
• Also, it will no longer be offered with a diesel engine, rather the powertrain lineup will comprise petrol and hybrid choices. The former will be a 2.0-litre unit generating a maximum power output of 170 PS while the latter will be a strong-hybrid mill expected to deliver almost 190 PS
• The new Innova will also come equipped with the front-wheel-drive system instead of the rear-wheel-drive 
• In terms of exterior, the upcoming MPV is likely to feature a more evolutionary design with a large front grille, sleek LED headlights, and a refreshed bumper with fog lights
• The revamped Innova will be more safe compared to the predecessor as the automaker has confirmed the inclusion of the ADAS pack, which means it will be loaded with advanced safety systems like lane keeping assist, lane departure, warning, adaptive cruise control, forward collision avoidance, automatic high beam, and more

• Further, the Innova nameplate will also be featuring a large panoramic sunroof for the first time
• Among the other expected creature comforts that are likely to make their way to the upcoming model are ventilated front seats, a heads-up display, ambient lighting, wireless charging, a bigger infotainment unit, an electric parking brake, and a 360-degree camera
