- It will run independently of the Vios Challenge and will include two rounds, each with two races of an hour; all within the Malaysia Championship Series
- Like the Vios Challenge, the Vios Sprint Cup will also ensure a level playing field with emphasis on race craft, experience, and driving skills
- A total of 26 cars will be on the grid, each with two drivers
- Making things interesting, the drivers pairing will be done by a combination of professionals, amateurs, celebrities, and rookies
- In the Race 1, both drivers will drive in two separate qualifying sessions; the faster driver will then commence the race before making a mandatory pit stop for a driver to change
- In Race 2, the slower driver will be required to start the race. He too would make a mandatory pit stop for a driver change. Also, this race will begin as a reverse grid order based on Race 1 results
- Overall champion in both the races will win a cash prize of RM 10,000. The first runner up, third, fourth, and fifth place winners will receive RM 8000, RM 6,000, RM 4,000, and RM 2,000 cash prizes, respectively
