Mini introduces a special 30th Anniversary Convertible, the Seaside Edition

KUALA LUMPUR: Mini celebrates the 30th anniversary of its popular Convertible with the introduction of an all-new Seaside Edition. Based on the Cooper S specifications, this special open-top Mini features exclusive styling inside and out and equipment features.

What makes the Mini Convertible Seaside Edition different from the standard model?

• The four-seater MINI Convertible comes in exclusive body colours - Caribbean Aqua and Nanuq White 
• Mated to these soothing beach-inspired shades is a black fabric top, which can be operated at speeds up to 30 kmph

• Adding to its specific styling is a distinctive front bumper graphic, white body stripes, and special side scuttles with “Seaside” badges.  
• The limited edition drop top rides on two-tone 18-inch alloy wheels featuring Pulse Spoke design. These are coupled with the special wheel caps incorporating a “30” motif graphic 

• An exclusive “Seaside” lettering in a sporty orange tone is also positioned on the rear fascia
• Inside, the Convertible Seaside Edition boasts decorative trim stripes on the front dashboard and special ‘30’ badges on floor mats
• On the lower spoke of the sports leather steering wheel, we can also find the “Seaside” lettering 

• The vehicle’s key comes with a graphic wave pattern in an iridescent blue tone inspired by the open atmosphere and the pure elegance of the sea
• Further accentuating the exclusive aura of the interior are the Carbon Black leather seats 
• Also part of the kit is an 8.8-inch central touchscreen display and the Premium Plus Pack, comprising an advanced Harmon Kardon sound system and wireless smartphone charging 

Powering the Mini Convertible Seaside Edition is a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine that pumps out a maximum power of 178 PS and a peak torque of 280 Nm. In terms of performance, the open-top hatch runs from zero to 100 kmph in 7.2 seconds.

The Mini Convertible Seaside Edition will hit the select markets in the first quarter of 2023 at a price starting from £34,500 (approximately equal to RM 185,320). Information as to when it will come to Malaysia is not available at the moment.
