Mini Clubman F54 Variants to Debut at 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show
Kuala Lumpur: The new Mini Clubman would be marking its world premiere at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show with its entry in the premium compact segment. Both 3 door and 5 door models would be at display along with sports-oriented Mini John Cooper Works. The variants include Mini One Clubman, Mini One D Clubman and Mini SD Clubman.

The most recent model would be the largest one among the new generation. It would measure 270 mm longer and 90 mm wider than the Mini 5 door along with a wheelbase which would be 100 mm larger. It carries a boot space of 360 litres which can be extended to 1250 litres by folding down the seats with 40:20:40 split. This car is also integrated with electric seat adjustment function along with an option of interior style with backlit door bezels. The automaker is also offering a Mini Excitement package which comprises of LED interior and ambient lighting as well as a projection of Mini logo on the ground when the door is opened or closed.

The base variant Mini One Clubman would be powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine carrying three cylinders and could churn out a maximum power of 102 hp along with 180 Nm of peak torque. It takes just 11.1 seconds to complete a 0-100 kmph sprint and delivers a fuel consumption in the range of 5.1-5.3 litres per 100 km. Talking about the One D variant, it would be integrated with a turbodiesel engine which delivers a maximum power of 116 hp along with a peak torque of 270 Nm. It does the century sprint in 10.4 seconds and has a fuel economy in the range of 3.8-3.9 litres per 100 km. Its petrol variant bumps output to 136 hp and 220 Nm of torque, completes the 0-100 kmph sprint in 9.1 seconds and consumes fuel at a rate of between 5.1-5.3 litres per 100 km.
The Cooper D would get a new 2.0-litre diesel engine which churns out a maximum power of 150 hp along with a commanding torque of 330 Nm. This robust engine allows this car to complete a 0-100 kmph sprint in 8.6 seconds while delivering fuel consumption in the range of 4.1-4.4 litres per 100 km. The top variant Cooper S employs a 2.0-litre petrol engine which is capable of generating a maximum power of 192 hp and 280 Nm of peak torque. It completes the century sprint in just 7.2 seconds and consumes fuel in the range of 6.2-6.3 litres per 100 km. Lastly, Cooper SD holds a 2.0-litre turbodiesel engine carrying four engines and churns out a maximum power of 190 hp along with a commanding torque of 400 Nm. From a position of halt, it hits 100 kmph mark in 7.4 seconds while delivering fuel economy in the range of 4.5-4.6 litres per 10 km.
