MINI 3 Door, 5 Door, and Clubman get a fancy Multitone Roof

KUALA LUMPUR: Taking its colour diversity forward, Mini introduced a contrasting paint finish for the roof of its three models - 3 Door, 5 Door, and Clubman. The fancy Multitone Roof makes these classic Minis look more attractive and appealing. And to make that happen, the automaker undertook the innovative wet-on-wet painting process for the first time at its plant in Oxford, UK.

The Mini Multitone roof creates a three-colour design on the vehicle’s roof starting with blue at one end, becoming black at the other. To be precise, the San Marino Blue is applied to the roof’s front, Pearly Aqua adorns the middle part and Jet Black can be seen on the rear section.

However, Mini states that slight deviations in the colour pattern can occur due to varying environmental conditions. Thus, according to the automaker, the roof adds a unique character to each model. 

The unique aesthetic created by the Multitone roof goes well with the optional panoramic glass roof and optional roof rails. Also, this fancy roof is available in combination with all exterior colours except Chili Red and British Racing Green metallic variants as well as the Indian Summer Red metallic available for the Clubman. “The colour scheme of the Multitone Roof forms an interplay that is as appealing as it is harmonious with almost all the body paint finishes available for the MINI 3 door, the MINI 5 door, and the MINI Clubman,” says Mini.

Well, this is not the first time we are seeing the Mini Multitone Roof as the brand showcased this innovative form of roof design for the MINI Cooper SE as part of the MINI Electric Collection earlier this year.

Besides this three-colour roof design, Mini offers another attractive roof styling also, including a red-painted roof for the John Cooper Works models. The MINI Original Accessories range also gives away the choices of various roof decors, comprising Union Jack, Checkered Flag design, and more.
