Maserati expands its Trofeo collection, includes Ghibli and Quattroporte
KUALA LUMPUR: Maserati has expanded its Trofeo collection. In addition to Levante SUV, the collection now includes Ghibli and Quattroporte Trofeo sedans. Together, the three cars help Maserati reach the pinnacle of luxury, performance, and sportiness.
Keeping its Italian identity alive, Maserati has launched its Trofeo collection in the colour of its home country’s flag. The Quattroporte is painted green, Levante white, and Ghibli red. Enhancing their beauty further is the glossy red trim and burnished chrome-work that give the cars an aggressive yet elegant look.
The Ghibli and Quattroporte sedans benefit from a new V8 mill. The 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 unit makes 580 hp at 6,250 rpm and 730 Nm. The same mill also rests under the hood of the Levante SUV, and it is said to be manufactured at Ferrari plant to Maserati’s specifications. Also, the engine is in full compliance with the emission and fuel efficiency standards.
With a top speed of 326 kmph, the Ghibli and Quattroporte claim to be the fastest Maserati sedans ever. Levante Trofeo, on the other hand, displays a top-speed of 302 kmph.

All the three cars in the Trofeo collection incorporate the IVC (Integrated Vehicle Control) system, with a specific setup that ensures enhanced driving dynamics, more thrilling performance, and greater active safety. Both the sedans feature the Corsa button that sets the cars on the sportier driving mode. Also, part of the package is the Launch Control button that unleashes all the engine’s power to deliver breath-taking performance.
The Trofeo collection comes with unmistakable looks that include Black Piano finish twin vertical front grills, carbon fibre air ducts, and rear extractor. Also, the three cars can be easily distinguished via red detailing on the button profiles of side air vents. The C-pillars get a lightning bolt on the Trident badge, while the rear is completely revised with a boomerang-like profile. While Ghibli and Quattroporte Trofeo ride on 21-inch aluminium Orione wheels, the Levante Trofeo features 22-inch Orione wheels.
On the inside, the cars feature full-grain Pieno Fiore natural leather upholstery, also present is a new on-board panel with an exclusive interface at switch-on. The Maserati Intelligent Assistant (MIA) now comes with new technologies like upgraded multimedia screen resolution and larger screen size - 10.1-inch (on Quattroporte Trofeo and Ghibli Trofeo) and 8.4-inch (on Levante Trofeo). The Maserati Connect programme keeps the Trofeo cars always connected.
The Quattroporte and Ghibli Trofeo will be manufactured at the Avvocato Giovanni Agnelli Plant at Grugliasco. The Levante Trofeo, on the other hand, will be built at the Mirafiori plant.
