KLIMS 2024: GWM introduces two new models, TANK 500 & WEY 80

KUALA LUMPUR: Great Wall Motor Malaysia has been successful in attracting auto enthusiasts and the general public to its booth at the ongoing 2024 KLIMS. The automaker has just unveiled two groundbreaking models: the GWM TANK 500 and GWM WEY 80. Both these vehicles showcase GWM’s dedication to innovation, performance, and user-centric design. Further, they highlight the brand’s commitment to sustainable mobility solutions for the Malaysian market.

GWM TANK 500

• The TANK 500 is a 7-seater SUV that represents the pinnacle of refined off-road capability combined with luxury.
• Designed for adventure, it boasts a robust 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder hybrid engine that generates 350 PS and 648 Nm of torque.
• The drive is sent to the wheels via an advanced 9-speed hybrid automatic transmission.
• It comes loaded with features enhancing its off-road capabilities including 11 driving modes, TANK Turn, and Off-road Cruise Control.
• The SUV measures 5078 mm in length, 1934 mm in width, and 1905 mm in height, with a 2850 mm wheelbase. Thus ensuring ample cabin space, ensuring a comfortable ride.

GWM WEY 80

• Complementing the rugged TANK 500 is the GWM WEY 80, a premium 7-seater MPV that redefines elegance and comfort.
• It comes equipped with a plug-in hybrid electric system powered by Dedicated Hybrid Technology (DHT) which delivers 487 PS and 762 Nm of torque.
• The WEY 80 offers a 150 km electric range (CLTC)
• Part of its feature kit is luxurious amenities such as zero-gravity leather seats, foldable workstation tables, and a 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system.
• Its dimensions read 5045 mm in length, 1960 mm in width, and 1900 mm in height, along with a 3085 mm wheelbase; ensuring a spacious cabin.
