Kia Rio Sedan previewed with estimated price of RM73,000
Kuala Lumpur: Naza Kia Malaysia, the official distributor of Kia Motors vehicles in the country is all primed to surprise the Malaysians with the latest launch of its Kia Rio Sedan. The car will soon hit the shores of Malaysia and was previewed this weekend at the Mines International Exhibition and Convention Centre. The car is previewed with an estimated cost of RM73,000 (on-the-road inclusive of GST and insurance). It will join the existing RM79k Rio 5-door hatchback model in Kia’s B-segment range.
The order books for the car are opened and the deliveries can be expected by January, 2016. The pricing of the car is kept competitive into the B-segment market that’s dominated by the Toyota Vios and Honda City, it will squarely go against the lower end of the Vios, Honda City and Nissan Almera.
The Rio Sedan has a wheelbase of 2,570mm, with its length measuring out to be 4,370mm-long, a width of 1,720mm while a height of 1,455mm. The car will roll on its 15-inch wheels with 185/55 series tyres that partially hide the front and rear sets of disc brakes.

Beneath the hood the sedan showcase a 1.4-litre four-cylinder power mill gulping down a concentrated dose of fuel from its 43-litre fuel tank and churning out a maximum power of 108bhp at 6,300rpm and 137Nm of torque at 4,200rpm – all of which gets managed by a four-speed automatic gearbox before being sent to the front wheels.
On the inside the Kia Rio sedan features a fabric-clad interior with modern features such as keyless entry and an advanced audio system featuring USB, AUX ports and Bluetooth connectivity Kia Rio is loaded with a tyre pressure monitoring system, steering wheel audio controls for the six-speaker audio system with an 800MB onboard memory for MP3 files as well as a full-sized alloy spare tyre. Apart from it the car boasts an impressive boot space of 389-litres.

The car does not possesses LED technology whereas day-time running lights can be seen on the front with a plethora of safety equipments to note down. The sedan includes six airbags, anti-lock braking system, electronic stability management, hill-start assist control and emergency stop signal.
Order books for the car are open across all the Naza Kia outlets in the country. The Kia Rio sedan is available in five colour choices of Clear White, Bright Silver, Deep Blue and Signal Red.
