Jaguar XE Appears On Official Site, Launch is Expected Soon

Kuala Lumpur: The British automaker, Jaguar is all set to expand it's exclusive fleet of cars in Malaysia. The latest débutante from the house of Jaguar is XE saloon, a compact and stylish saloon and Jaguar's strong contender against BMW's 3 series, Audi A4 and Mercedes-Benz C-class in Malaysia. The car was recently spotted on the official website of Jaguar confirming the speculations of it's launch soon in the country.

Not much information is available on the website, but it can be speculated that Jaguar will launch only the petrol variants of this compact executive sedan here. Considering the scarce popularity of diesel, it may not arrive soon.

The all-new XE is chiseled with cutting-edge aluminum having intensive architecture and technologically enhanced mechanism. XE is alive with the latest innovation, technology and design of Jaguar that connects this aesthetic sedan to the road and car to the driver. The car portrays a true sporting character which is packed with enhanced systems empowering the driver as well as enhancing the driving experience.

Jaguar XE is introduced with an all new Ingenium family of engines for the first time. The car is offered in both a six-speed manual and an eight-speed automatic, both of which can be had with a 2-litre petrol engine in three power configurations. The petrol engines are envisioned to possess all the refine performance traits of Jaguar family, the 2.0 litre i4 turbocharged delivers a 200 hp and 279 nm of torque while the 2.0 litre i4 delivers a 240 hp and 339 nm. Jaguar also offers a 3.0-litre supercharged V6 engine for the XE that produces a massive 340 hp, but it is not sure that this variant will be arriving or not.

The Jaguar XE will be imported as a CBU from Solihull and its exact launch date is still not revealed by the company, but we expect it to hit by the start of 2016.
