Interior of 2016 Mercedes-Benz E-Class W213 Revealed Ahead of Its World Debut

Kuala Lumpur: Mercedes-Benz has revealed the interior of the 2016 Mercedes-Benz E-Class W213 ahead of its world debut at the Detroit Motorshow on January 11, 2016. The German automaker has released a youtube video of the interior of its upcoming E-Class model which has been code named as W213 Mercedes-Benz E-Class model. The automaker has said that the new design of its upcoming E-Class will be much more beautiful and modern compared to the previous version. Also, it will be much cleaner than the C-Class and S-Class.

The interior of the upcoming Mercedes-Benz E-Class W213 is themed on the personalisation and comes with 64 ambient light colours choices. Also, the automaker has made an impressive use of premium quality materials including the open-pore woods in addition to the yatching like woods featuring flowing lines and new metal fabric.  The leather wrapped door features beltline for certain lines.

The centre console of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class W213 features a new digital dashboard with two 12.3-inch integrated as a single unit. The digital dashboard comes with a variety of customization besides an enhanced main menu interface for COMMAND. The gauge cluster comes with three theme choices: Classic, Progressive and Sport. When you select the Classic Mode, the display will showcase a two-gauge design and different driver-preferred information screens in the middle. When you select the Progressive mode, the display will show a large single-gauge like in supercars to give you a feel of driving an AMG sports car. When you choose the Sports mode, the display will feature the same two-gauge design but the colours and fonts will look brighter and more aggressive.

Apart from the new digital dashboard, which will be offered on all trim levels, (excluding the entry-level “Avantgarde” trim), the interior of the upcoming Mercedes-Benz E-Class W213 will also feature dual thumb controls on the steering wheels. While the right-sided thumb controls of the steering wheels will control main infotainment screen, the left ones which control the functionalities of the gauge cluster. The buttons will be touch-sensitive so that you can deliver the commands easily through the horizontal and vertical finger swipes.

The 2016 Mercedes-Benz E-Class W213 will be available in three different models: Sleek Estate, Dramatic Coupe and Cabriolet, and E63 AMG model.
