Honda releases 2020 Jazz accessories

KUALA LUMPUR: Global automobile behemoth Honda has introduced a range of accessories for the 2020 Jazz crossover hatchback. The car is already on sale and the accessories will be available only in Japan. The 5-door, B-segment car is known as the Honda Fit in Japan. The new accessories will be available through Honda Access, covering a variety of areas like convenience, styling, and driving support. These, however, will differ according to the package chosen by the customer.

The basic Home package for the 2020 Honda Jazz comprises garnishes for the fog lamps and front grille, 15-inch aluminium wheels finished in white, piano black seat covers and door switch panel. The Ness package comes with a sportier front grille, triple-diode LED maps placed below the fog lamps, a roof spoiler, all-around skirting, larger 16-inch aluminium wheels in “snowflake” design, and black badges.

Accessories in the crossover-type Crosstar package includes decals on the tailgate and doors, LED fog lamps, a trunk floor protector, rugged lower-body garnishes, and roof-mounted crossbars. The top-level Luxe accessories include a number of illuminated items like door handles, tread plates, foot lighting, and door cards. A replacement for the in-cabin USB connector with two ports is also available. Other items include a tonneau cover and a protective film for the boot.

The fourth-generation Jazz was officially introduced at the 2019 Tokyo Motor Show and the car now sports a more rounded and softer look than its predecessor. The upgraded Jazz is yet to be introduced in the Malaysian market, where the third-generation model is sold in four variants. All models of the Jazz are hauled by Honda’s 1.5-litre Intelligent Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control (i-VTEC) engine. The single overhead camshaft (SOHC) motor produces 120 PS maximum power at 6,600 rpm and 145 Nm peak torque at 4,600 rpm. The Jazz is also available with a 1.5-liter hybrid powertrain.

All the newly introduced Jazz accessories packages can be specified with a 9.0-inch premium infotainment system and a series of storage solutions in the central console. These include a tissue box holder and a dedicated smartphone tray. 

The ‘Elegant Color Collection’ of the Honda Jazz interior scheme adds pink navy and accents throughout the car’s cabin.
