GWM Malaysia delivers 100 TANK 300 SUVs in first month, continues to offers exciting perks

KUALA LUMPUR:  Great Wall Motor (GWM) Malaysia has swiftly delivered 100 units of its TANK 300 SUV within the first month of its launch in mid-July. The surprisingly good early demand for the TANK 300, an Intelligent Luxury Off-road SUV says GWM, highlights its appeal among local off-road enthusiasts.

Commenting on the achievement, GWM Malaysia's Managing Director, Cui An Qi, stated, "We are delighted for the overwhelming response from the Malaysian customers. This achievement has significantly strengthened our customers’ confidence in our brand and reinforced their support for our top-quality products". 

At the handover event, the 100th customer, Professor Dr. Steven Leow, shared his reasons for choosing the TANK 300. "As someone passionate about cars, the TANK 300 stood out to me with its robust off-road capabilities paired with advanced technology. It's rare to find an off-road vehicle that offers this level of comfort, almost comparable to a sedan. Features like L2 ADAS, wireless charging, and the transparent chassis are exactly what I was looking for in a modern SUV."

In recognition of the early success, GWM Malaysia is offering special incentives to the first 300 buyers of the TANK 300. These include a lifetime warranty on the engine and transmission (limited to the first owner), five years of free service maintenance covering both labor and parts, a Thule Paramount Backpack worth RM999, and a Thule Adventure Kit Voucher valued at RM8,000.

GWM Malaysia has also announced the opening of its second adventure station in the Alxa Desert, designed for TANK 300 owners to experience the SUV's capabilities in one of the world's most challenging desert terrains. Customers who complete their TANK 300 vehicle registration by September 12, 2024, will be eligible to enter a draw for an all-expenses-paid trip to the Alxa Desert.

The GWM TANK 300 is a newly launched luxury SUV in Malaysia, priced at RM 250,000. It comes fully imported from China and is powered by a 2.0L Turbo 4-cylinder petrol engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, delivering 220 PS and 380 Nm of torque. Built for off-road adventures, it features a Ladder Frame Construction, 224mm ground clearance, and nine driving modes, including Tank Turn Assist and Crawl Control. It has low range gearing as well as many different off-road drive modes to help make drives easily pass off-road obstacles.

The TANK 300 is equipped with advanced safety features, including L2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, and six airbags, earning it a 5-star safety rating. The interior is luxurious, with NAPPA leather, dual 12.3” screens, and a 9-speaker Infinity sound system.
