Cycle & Carriage opens new Mercedes-Benz Autohaus in Penang

KUALA LUMPUR: Cycle & Carriage has expanded its footprint in Malaysia by opening a new Mercedes-Benz Autohaus centre in Sungai Penang. The opening of the new store coincides with the company’s 125th anniversary.

The key highlights of the new Cycle & Carriage Sungai Pinang centre are as follows - 

• It is a 2S facility offering body and paint services with 21 service and repair bays.
• Spanned across 90,000 sq ft, the centre has a built-up area of 56,822 sq ft with five floors of service workshops.
• This is the brand’s fourth facility in Penang and 12th in Malaysia. Notably, it serves as the only Mercedes-Benz body and paint centre in Penang.

• It highlights the latest Mercedes-Benz retail concept and houses a relaxing lounge area, personalised services andthe Star Assistant.
• Another notable feature of Cycle & Carriage Sungai Pinang is its gold-rated green building certification. It incorporates eco-friendly elements such as a heat-reducing façade, solar panels, energy-efficient air conditioning, LED lighting equipped with photocell and motion sensors, and real-time energy monitoring.

• The centre is also equipped with a rainwater harvesting tank for sustainable water usage, along with high-speed 180 kW DC chargers supporting eco-friendly mobility solutions.
• The five-story building also uses car lifts instead of road ramps, featuring backup power to ensure uninterrupted operations, even during emergencies.
