Chery Malaysia celebrates 1st anniversary with special offers - 2 years free service maintenance, complimentary deployable side steps

KUALA LUMPUR: Chery Auto Malaysia is celebrating its first anniversary in the local automotive market by introducing special offers for new customers.

Starting from May 1 to June 30, 2024, new buyers will receive a two-year free service maintenance package, which includes both parts and labor. This promotion is available for the OMODA 5, TIGGO 8 PRO, and the all-electric OMODA E5.

This service package is in addition to Chery’s existing offerings: a seven-year warranty (or up to 150,000 km) and five years of complimentary labor service.

Moreover, customers purchasing the seven-seater TIGGO 8 PRO will get a complimentary pair of Automatic Deployable Side Steps, valued at RM2999. These steps automatically extend when the doors are opened, providing easier access to the vehicle.

The TIGGO 8 PRO, priced at RM159,800 (West Malaysia), is available in Dark Black, Khaki White, and Aurora Green (Limited Edition). It features a 2.0TGDi engine delivering 256 HP and 390 Nm of torque, paired with a seven-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT). The SUV has a fuel consumption rate of 7.4L/100 km.

The OMODA 5, equipped with a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 156 HP and 230 Nm of torque, comes with a nine-speed continuously variable transmission (CVT). It is priced from RM108,800 (West Malaysia) and is available in Khaki White, Dark Black, and Phantom Grey for the OMODA 5C model. The OMODA 5H variant includes additional color options with red stripes.

The OMODA E5, priced at RM146,800 (West Malaysia), is available in Aqua Green, Khaki White, Phantom Grey, and Dark Black. This electric vehicle features an advanced drivetrain with 201 HP and 340 Nm of torque, offering a WLTP range of 430 km. It also includes the latest generation of the Advanced Driver Assistance System 2.5 with 17 safety functions.

On May 18, selected Chery showrooms nationwide will preview the highly anticipated Tiggo 7 Pro. Customers can book the vehicle, expected to be priced below RM130,000, and it will be showcased at the upcoming Malaysia Autoshow 2024.

The Tiggo 7 Pro is built on the robust T1X Comfort chassis shared with the Tiggo 8 Pro. This design offers ample interior space and a large boot capacity, catering to those who prioritize comfort and utility.

The exterior makes a bold statement with Chery’s vision, showcasing an imposing chrome-framed hexagonal front grille and sleek LED lighting that lend to its aggressive, off-road-ready look.

Beneath the hood, the Tiggo 7 Pro is equipped with a powerful 1.6-litre four-cylinder turbo TGDi engine, delivering 197 hp and 290 Nm of torque. This engine, also found in Chery’s sub-premium SUV brand JAECOO J7, promises exhilarating performance. Paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, the Tiggo 7 Pro offers impressive acceleration, ensuring a thrilling driving experience.

The vehicle features independent suspension with multi-link setups at all four corners, enhancing driving feel and comfort.

Inside, the Tiggo 7 Pro is a sanctuary of luxury and technology. It boasts a massive 24.6" dual-screen setup for the instrument panel and infotainment system, seamless smartphone connectivity, and a Sony premium audio system for an immersive sound experience. The interior exudes comfort with ventilated front seats and a panoramic sunroof, elevating the cabin's premium feel.
