Chery Tiggo 7 Pro

The cabin of the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro feels ultra-modern and new-age, with a redesigned dashboard and updated equipment list making it feel more premium. The all-black cabin of the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro feels upmarket, thanks to the contrast brushed aluminium bits and gloss black highlights. 

The fancy-looking three-spoke multi-functional steering wheel with chrome inserts on the spokes has a massive 24.6-inch full-TFT cockpit behind it. This trapezoidal cockpit has dual screens for the instrument console and a touchscreen infotainment system. The sleek middle panel of the dashboard, which houses rectangular AC vents within it, also has a touch-controlled panel for the dual-zone automatic climate control below it in the lower centre console.

The equipment list of the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro also feels richer, with the SUV having premium features like a panoramic sunroof, leather upholstery, power-adjustable and ventilated front seats, rear AC vents, wireless charger, air purifier, ambient lighting, and an 8-speaker SONY audio system.

In the current facelifted version, the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro only became more modern in its appearance with fresher front and rear profiles. The redesigned front end of the Tiggo 7 Pro features a tweaked hexagonal grille with studded diamond-like chrome inserts and chrome-finished extensions on either side. These chrome extensions stretch towards the sleek and trapezoidal all-LED headlamps, with the Tiggo 7 Pro also getting a redesigned front bumper with bolder air dams angular blue stripes, and LED DRLs on its lower corner edges. 

The side profile of the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro received a small change in the form of a new design for the 18-inch machined alloy wheels. With a kink in the window shoulder line towards the rear quarter glass panels, the Tiggo 7 Pro also has slim body side mouldings and a chrome finish on the side mouldings for the door panels. The rear profile of the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro has larger sweptback combination LED tail lamps, with the inner lamps connected with a light bar spread across the width of the boot lid. 

With Macpherson struts at the front and an independent multi-link setup at the rear, the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro is being offered as a front-wheel drive SUV, which is comfortable enough for both short and long-distance drives. The SUV also has six different driving modes – Eco, Normal, Sport, Snow, Off-road, and Mud for varying driving experience in all different conditions.  

The single-engine option with which the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro is on sale is a 1.6-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine, which has been paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. This particular engine churns out 197 PS of maximum power and 290 Nm of maximum torque outputs. It enables the Tiggo 7 Pro to reach a top speed of 205 kmph, cover the 0-100 kmph sprint in 8.3 seconds, and return a fuel efficiency figure of 7 litres/100 km. 

Besides offering seven airbags, ABS with EBD and brake assist, 540-degree HD panoramic camera, electronic stability program, hill start assist, hill descent control, and tyre pressure monitoring system, the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro also comes with advanced driving assistance features like autonomous emergency braking, multi-collision braking, blind spot detection, door opening warning, intelligent high beam control, front and rear collision warnings, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane departure prevention, lane change assist, emergency lane keep assist, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear cross-traffic brake. 

With all the design changes and feature updates, the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro offers a more premium driving and ownership experience, besides having one of the most powerful engines of its size.
