BMW X7 gets a new M Sport variant priced at RM 719k

KUALA LUMPUR: BMW Malaysia has expanded the lineup of the X7 SUV with the introduction of an all-new locally assembled variant, the xDrive40i M Sport. It joins the existing lower-spec BMW X7 xDrive40i Pure Excellence launched in Malaysia earlier this year.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • How much does the 2023 BMW X7 xDrive40i M Sport cost?

The 2023 BMW X7 xDrive40i M Sport is priced at RM 718,800 (on-the-road without insurance) in Malaysia.
  • What makes the BMW X7 xDrive40i M Sport different from the BMW X7 xDrive40i Pure Excellence?

The BMW X7 xDrive40i M Sport features M-specific front and rear design, 22-inch M sport wheels, M Sport brakes, Fineline Black fine wood trim, Merino leather upholstery, a more advanced Driving Assistant Professional package and new M Brooklyn Grey Metallic shade.
  • The new BMW X7 xDrive40i M Sport price tag reads RM 718,800 (on-the-road without insurance), which is RM 64,000 more than the Pure Excellence trim. The price includes a five-year unlimited mileage warranty with a free scheduled service programme, BMW roadside assistance, and BMW Service Online.

Justifying the extra price are the several sports-oriented features that surely delight automotive enthusiasts. The SUV comes equipped with the M Aerodynamics Package providing it aggressive M-specific front and rear design. It also features an Iconic Glow kidney grille with LED fibre optics, M inscription on the door sills, 22-inch M sport light alloy wheels in a double-spoke 913 M bicolour design, M Sport brakes finished in high gloss blue, Laserlight LED headlights, LED tail lights, and bigger exhaust finishers.

BMW also offers the new trim in an exclusive shade i.e. M Brooklyn Grey Metallic along with the regular Mineral White Metallic and Black Sapphire Metallic options.

The interior of the X7 xDrive40i M Sport looks more lavish and sophisticated thanks to Fineline Black fine wood trim (with high-gloss effect), BMW Individual extended Merino leather upholstery (Black or Tartufo), and M leather steering wheel.

The higher-spec version of the SUV also comes loaded with a more advanced Driving Assistant Professional package, comprising adaptive cruise control with a Stop & Go function, steering assistant, and lane control assistant.

The common features available on both models are -

    • 12.3-inch digital instrument panel
    • 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment unit
    • Head-up display
    • 10.2-inch rear displays

The power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed Steptronic Sport transmission enabling the SUV to run from a standstill to 100 kmph in 5.8 seconds.
