BMW Malaysia unveils new 2024 iX xDrive50 Sport and iX M60 - from RM467k

KUALA LUMPUR: BMW Malaysia has rolled out the latest additions to their iX series, introducing the BMW iX xDrive50 Sport and the BMW iX M60, both equipped with cutting-edge charging technology.

The new lineup replaces the xDrive40 and xDrive40 Sport and are priced at RM465,800 on-the-road without insurance for the xDrive50 Sport, and RM579,800 for the M60 variant. 

Both the BMW iX xDrive50 Sport and BMW iX M60 come standard with AC Charging Professional, upgrading their charging capabilities.

This feature significantly reduces charging times, whether at home or public AC charging stations, with a new 22 kW charging capacity. It offers a more efficient and enjoyable charging experience, cutting down the full charging time of both vehicles to under 5 hours and 30 minutes from 0 to 100%.

Plus, they still boast high-power charging up to 195 kW, slashing the charging time from 0% to 80% in just 35 minutes. The 11kW AC Wallbox Charger can charge these vehicles from 0 to 100% in 11 hours.

The BMW iX xDrive50 Sport impresses with a maximum output of 523 hp, paired with an electric range of up to 630 km (WLTP). Its torque reaches 765 Nm with Launch Control, allowing smooth acceleration to 100 km/h in just 4.6 seconds and a top speed of 200 km/h.

Meanwhile, the BMW iX M60 continues to offer its optimal dual-motor configuration, generating a combined output of 619 hp and an electric range of up to 561 km (WLTP). Under normal driving conditions, it still achieves a torque of 1,015 Nm, which can be boosted to 1,100 Nm with Launch Control, enabling a sprint to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds.

Now standard, the BMW iX xDrive50 Sport and BMW iX M60 feature dual-axle air suspension for a smoother drive, absorbing road imperfections with precision. They also come with BMW Iconic Sounds Electric as standard, offering an immersive experience through the instant connection between sound and vehicle.

With Comfort Access featuring BMW Digital Key Plus, users can automatically unlock the BMW iX xDrive50 Sport and BMW iX M60 with a physical key or compatible iPhone or Android smartphone.

This not only provides seamless access but also enhances security with an automatic locking function activated by the driver's distance from the vehicle. The digital key can be shared with up to five devices, further easing the ownership experience.

The BMW iX xDrive50 Sport and BMW iX M60 maintain their luxurious cabin space, featuring standard Interior Design Atelier with Sensatec accents on the central console and armrests, alongside an 18-speaker Harman Kardon surround sound system with innovative headrest speakers and lumbar-level speakers.

The BMW Live Cockpit Professional includes a 12.3-inch display screen and a 14.9-inch central display screen, complemented by multifunction seats, wireless charging, and a four-zone automatic climate control. BMW iDrive, now with BMW Operating System 8.5, provides accurate information for added driving convenience.

Standard color options for the BMW iX xDrive50 Sport and BMW iX M60 include Alpine White, Mineral White Metallic, Black Sapphire Metallic, Sophisto Grey Metallic with Brilliant Effect, Phytonic Blue Metallic, Oxide Grey Metallic, and Blue Ridge Mountain.

BMW iX owners can also enjoy access to over 1,700 charging facilities across the country, powered by local EV charging solution providers in collaboration with BMW Group Malaysia.

Strategic partnerships with ChargeEV and Yinson GreenTech provide access to over 400 facilities, while collaborations with JomCharge, Gentari, ChargeN’Go, ChargeSini, Go To-U, and FlexiParking add about 160 more nationwide.

These meaningful collaborations not only shape the mobility era in Malaysia but also ensure the premium electric ownership experience promised aligns with the rapidly changing electric mobility landscape, said BMW Group Malaysia.

 

Dynamic financial programme

With the Easy Drive Financing Plan from BMW Group Financial Services Malaysia, the BMW iX xDrive50 Sport and BMW iX M60 can be owned with a monthly instalment plan starting from RM 6,599.00 and RM 8,252.00 respectively (based on estimates of an 80% loan on a five-year tenure) after RM10,000 Easy Drive Cash Rebate until 31st March 2024, terms and conditions apply.

Alternatively, customers may also opt for the Straight-Line Financing Plan which offers a monthly instalment plan starting from RM 5,877.00 and RM 7,220.00 respectively, on a seven-year tenure.

The prices mentioned for the above don't include the BMW Service & Repair Inclusive, which upgrades the warranty from the usual two years to five years and comes with a service package for six years.
